Analyzing the BNP's Allegations of a One-Sided Election Schedule

Recent claims by certain BNP leaders and supporters that the Election Commission's (EC) announced election schedule is "one-sided" have raised questions about the validity of this assertion.

Examining the BNP's Claims

Firstly, it is essential to clarify that declaring the election schedule falls under the EC's constitutional obligation. According to the Constitution, elections must be held within 150 days of the dissolution of the National Parliament. In fulfilling this responsibility, the EC has announced the election schedule.

Secondly, the election schedule applies to everyone. It is not designed for any specific party but rather for all parties involved. Any party can participate in the election according to this schedule.

Thirdly, the BNP has declined to participate in the election due to its demands not being met. This is their own decision, and the EC bears no responsibility for it.

Fourthly, any election schedule will inevitably displease one party or another. This is because winning and losing are natural aspects of elections. Every party aims to win the election. However, the EC's responsibility is to establish a schedule that allows all parties to participate in the election and ensures a fair and impartial election process.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the election schedule is not designed for any one party but rather for all parties involved. Any party can participate in the election according to this schedule. The BNP's claim that the schedule is "one-sided" is entirely unfounded.
