Mamun Mazumder, the assistant organizing secretary of the central Chhatra Dal, was reportedly caught red-handed setting a passenger bus ablaze.

On Monday morning, a team of RAB rushed to the spot in front of Pallwell Market in Abdullahpur after receiving news of a fire on a passenger bus. The team members saw two people trying to set the bus on fire. They arrested one of them.

Half a liter of petrol was recovered from Mamun Mazumder's motorcycle. He was trying to set the bus on fire by pouring petrol on it. However, the RAB members were able to arrest him.

In a statement, Rashed Akun Royhan, the central president of Chhatra Dal, said, "I have heard that Mamun Mazumder has been arrested by RAB. However, we have no information about this." He said, "If it is true that RAB has arrested him, then it is condemnable. It is a conspiracy of the government to suppress its political opponents."
